Not Drive-It Day 2020
The rather unusual (or over-worked adjective ‘unprecedented’) circumstances of Spring 2020 meant that Drive-It Day didn’t happen. Instead the whole world was in ‘lock down’ and thus a whole meadow of virtual Drive-It Day activities blossomed in the on-line world.
Petrolheads Welcome’s version was to invite the submission of photos of toy cars or models taken in an outdoor setting (the weather was rather good, perhaps ironically). We promised to share our favourites in this blog and in our subsequent newsletter.
So here goes…

Thank you Archievan for this picture of your schoolboy toy taken on Archievan’s tyre. Nice work!

Beautifully positioned by Bonnes Routes gite. Real ones are always welcome there.

Perfect weather for John P.’s 250 California Spyder

Those fishes won’t appreciate the noise of a DBR4… or maybe they will! Thanks Ben K.

What a cracker. From a Christmas Cracker apparently! Thanks Andy W.

Miura emerges from the murk. We weren’t expecting any night time shots. Thanks Stephen P.

This Capri S has had some local customisation, it’s contemporary apparently. Thanks Geoff F.
If we receive any more photos, we’ll happily add them to this list so snap away and send them to us!

Walt A. pinged this great photo of his MGA across to us almost as soon as our newsletter request landed!
Footnote: The opening paragraphs above were deliberately written in the distant past-tense in the hope that one day, the current pandemic will simply be a historical curiosity that this blog contributes to the study thereof!
