Luxury Lodge on the shores of Loch Tay

Thanks to Petrolheads Welcome member, Tim N. for providing this very thorough description of The Tractor Shed:

“Lovely self-catering accommodation for just two people close to Loch Tay.

Big parking area outside so taking a car each is no problem, no covered spaces but very little passing traffic (just to other lodges close to the water).

The drive is made up of loose large chippings, bumpy in places, slightly uneven but shouldn’t be an issue unless you drive something very low or with a deep large chin spoiler. It takes just under two minutes to navigate to the turn off at comfortable speed.

The area around has some wonderful scenery and also some good driving roads such as the Comrie to Braco Road. The south side of Loch Tay is interesting and the single track road provides an alternative route to the Falls of Dochart. A bit further away is the town of Alyth, worth a visit to see the activity at Classic Restorations (Scotland) Ltd, who seem to welcome visitors dropping in for a little tour of their wonderful workshops.

The nearest town is Aberfeldy, which has all the essentials including fuel (super unleaded available) as well as a couple of garages. Just a little further is Pitlochry with all its tourist attractions.”

Thanks Tim!
