Visited and hand picked by Petrolheads Welcome
Two of the Petrolheads Welcome team were taken here by their petrol head friends and loved it. Sammy Miller is a motorcycling legend, 11 times British Champion, winner of over 1,400 events and still winning competitions more than 50 years after his first victory. The Museum houses one of the finest collections of fully restored motorcycles in the world, including factory racers and exotic prototypes.
A gem of a place well worth a special trip or add it to your route if planning a drive through the New Forest.
You can find the FBHVC’s directory of Motor Museums HERE.
I like bikes and this place has lots of them like a 4 cyl 50cc machine, amazing. Sammy (legend) is still there and worth a chat if you find him.
This is a great collection of motorbikes from all eras, nations and uses. Sammy Miller is often about and if so is happy to show people around the workshop and start up a few bikes. Also on display is his collection of over 1000 trophies. There is good parking on a level tarmac area but on busy days cars especially are parked on well cut grass. There is an excellent restaurant which does an especially good breakfast.
