About

We listed this venue after receiving the recommendation below from Petrolheads Welcome member, Keith, since when we’ve visited to check it out for ourselves.

“My wife and I went here last year with one of the car clubs we are members of. The club had been a few times before and everyone spoke very highly of it so when we retired we gave it a go in the Mazda MX5. It was so good we are booked to go again next year in the Morris Minor. Basically it is a family run guest house outside Llandovery that also organises drives in the area (Brecon Beacons, Elan valley etc.) for classic cars and they have a large catalogue of possible drives. As well as tulip maps you get info about eateries, towns and sights along the route that you might want to stop off at. If you have a problem with the car they will help as best they can and will recommend local suppliers or garages if necessary. They will even come out to you if needed. They take photos of the cars at the farm, including the use of a drone, as well as along the route and you can buy a memory stick with them all on at the end. They also do other activities such as 4×4 driving, fishing, clay pigeon shooting etc. It is full board with an excellent breakfast and evening meal, all home cooked. You can even buy a copy of their recipe book. And of course there is afternoon tea waiting when you get back in the afternoon after your drive, with home-made cakes, scones etc. All the family is so friendly as well. Well worth a visit.”

We agree with Keith’s observations (thanks again, Keith) and received a very warm welcome from the team.

Please note that the lane leading to the farm is long and narrow. This is clearly not an issue for the many people who continue to go there for car tours/breaks. However, if you’re driving a low-slung, wide supercar (say) you may want to double-check. If you’re in a classic Mini or Escort, you’ll love it!

Great location for touring
5.0

We stayed here as part of a car club gathering. There is good level tarmac parking outside and garaging for more weather sensitive vehicles. The owners are very car orientated. The food is plentiful and sumptuous and the bar on a trust box level. Shows you what nice people these are. We were provided with excellent road books for a variety of routes through the breath-taking countryside but it would be easy to plans for yourself. The club are serial visitors with tours sold out well in advance, Highly recommended.
