This hotel enjoys an elevated setting overlooking the fields of Flanders towards France. If you’re touring the WWI battle fields and cemeteries/memorials, this is an ideal location, close to the city of Ypres.
Approaching the hotel from either of two directions includes steep cobbled roads that rattle the steering racks of old cars and probably don’t do modern cars any good if driven over at speed (see photo below). However, it’s a very quiet location, especially in terms of traffic, and so taking it slowly and steadily is no inconvenience. We don’t think that the approach would cause concern for very low cars.
There is plenty of level parking outside the hotel. The car parks are loose-surfaced and thus a bit dusty in dry weather. The owners are happy to allow nice cars to park by the side of the main entrance which is also covered by CCTV.
