The Largest Automobile museum in the world and home of the Schlumpf Collection

Our thanks to Petrolheads Welcome reader ‘Spiderman’ for this one. He says:
“Very interesting and varied collection of cars of all ages displayed in one vast hall. Especially Bugatti (from the Schlumpf collection). Also a small track where you can circulate in a hired “Classic” at extra cost. Pleasant café overlooks the track (which my wife thoroughly enjoyed). 16 euro entry in 2017. Take a leisurely drive through the beautiful wine villages of Alsace en route.”
The team hasn’t visited yet so can’t comment on the car park but the website claims to have a ‘large pay carpark’ which looks as though it is a mix of tarmac and loose chippings. Please let us know if you have been.
I have been to the Sclumpf museum on three occasions. The entrance is now a bit slicker and the cars are more organised in age related sections with the “star” Bugattis now in a room with other “star” cars. It is well worth the visit. Give yourself a few hours plus time to enjoy a leisurely lunch in a choice of restaurants. There is a large car park much of it tarmac. There is a fee via collecting a tickets and paying at a machine but having done so I found the barrier was up anyway
