Visited and hand-picked by Petrolheads Welcome
We can heartily recommend this venue from our experience of staying here.
When owners and fellow Petrolheads, Stephen and Stephanie Barlow, contacted us about their gite that’s dedicated to car touring in France, naturally we were interested. What we then discovered is a business that’s as Petrolheads Welcome as we are!
Here’s a little of what they told us:
“The whole basis for us setting up the gite was to create a place for classic car owners – our motto being “where your car or motorbike is important as you are”. Having organised our own driving holidays and never really finding anywhere that offered what we needed for our cars (mainly Esprit, DB7, 911 for touring) we wanted the focus to be on providing a haven, and some great driving experiences, for enthusiasts. Having stayed in plenty of French gites furnished with cast-offs, where you had to take your own towels, we really wanted to create some high class accommodation to go alongside the car focus.”
Have a look at their website. It’s stunning. For instance they offer disposable overalls and a car lift, should you need them… or should we say want them? We think they’ve thought of everything.
Come and enjoy the sweeping bends of the Dordogne and use here as your base.
