About

We came across this hotel at the top of the Malta High Alpine Road, a road cut through the rock to create the most amazing rough-hewn tunnels. You won’t pass it en-route to anywhere as the road stops at the hotel.

It’s in a stunning location overlooking the highest dam in Austria and would make a great evening stop over to enjoy the views whilst you dine.  Then you have the fun of driving back down the road and through the tunnels all over again the next day!

If you are just popping in for a coffee then you will need to use the larger public car park. Otherwise, follow the signs for the hotel car park a little further on.

Read our blog about this road here.
