Bristol’s Booming Breakfast Club
As you probably know, we at Petrolheads Welcome are big fans of motoring-themed breakfast meetings (and breakfasts!). The Queen Square Breakfast Meeting is one such event.
Now let’s be clear. The Queen Square Breakfast Club meeting is not in Queen Square. It used to be, but then it became so popular with Petrolheads of all types that they out-grew the picturesque heart of Georgian Bristol. So we attended their meeting at Kings Weston House towards the west of the city with spectacular views over the Severn Estuary.
We were blessed with, as it turned out, surprisingly good weather so that the enormous number of cars (mainly) could park on the grass surrounding the Grade 1 listed mansion with confidence.
The range of vehicles on display was breathtaking, from classics to customs and supercars… all driven there by their passionate owners.
Naturally, the cooked breakfast rolls were devoured in abundance and the tea/coffee flowed freely.
The event started around 08:00 and was all done by lunchtime.
If you’re in the area on the second Sunday of the month, why not pop along? Not only will you and your vehicle be welcomed (whatever it is), but you’ll find many like-minded people to chat with and then realise the morning’s passed by in a flash!
Until next month…
